For those who cherish their pets, I offer reasonably
priced, customized pet portraits burned into basswood. I
do not use a laser etching machine; all of my work is
done stroke-by-stroke by hand, with every detail
carefully burned. I strive to bring your pets to life in
the wood, whether they are alive and well today or live
on in your heart. Each pyrograph is highly detailed to
realistically replicate your reference photos and
finished with a water-resistant sealant.
I use
live-edge basswood slices with natural bark borders. The
average size is 11" x 12" rectangle, but these
measurements are approximate, as each piece of wood is
completely natural and unique.
The process is
pretty simple:
1. You supply a clear,
high-resolution digital photo, description, and concept
for your custom piece. *I can't burn what I can't see.*
In other words, I can't make up details that I can't see
in the photo (like eyes, nose, ears, and so on).
2. We will chat to gather details such as composition,
deadlines, adding color, and so on.
3. Once we
have an agreement on what the piece should look like, a
50% deposit is required before burning starts.
4.
The image is transferred and carefully burned by hand
into the wood or heavy paper.
5. If shipping is
required, an image of the finished piece will be sent to
you for approval and for final payment before shipping
by USPS.
Currently, please allow three weeks for
delivery for a single portrait within the USA. Overseas
shipments take longer to clear customs. |
